XXII Pergolesi Spontini Festival 2022
"Come per Magia" the title of the festival in Jesi, and Maiolati Spontini, 30 concerts, shows and events on the bill
It will take place from 30 July to 27 September 2022 the XXII Pergolesi Spontini Festival, staged a Jesi is Maiolati Spontini with a dense book of events designed to meet audiences of different ages and tastes. International artists and promising young people will be welcomed by theaters, squares, historic centers, wineries, churches, museums, and more.

Among the novelties of the 2022 edition, three days of Festival preview in the summer with great names in Italian music, a event of “social music"At the Montacuto prison in Ancona, and the"Spontini days”In Maiolati Spontini in anticipation of 2024, the year in which the 250th anniversary of the birth of Gaspare Spontini is celebrated.

The XXII Pergolesi Spontini Festival opens withFestival preview, three evenings in Piazza Federico II in Jesi: starting on July 30 (9 pm) with theOrchestra of Piazza Vittorio OPV, a unique multi-ethnic ensemble on the world scene, here engaged in Dancefloor, new show dedicated to dance, rhythm and music that goes beyond genres, styles and nations.

The Festival then resumes in its usual late summer location with a collection of events.

For concert programming, the September 4th (9 pm) in the Church of San Nicolò in Jesi the Time Machine Ensemble directed by Marco Attura presents Rethinking Rossini, music by contemporary composers by Gioachino Rossini;

L'September 8 (9 pm) to Pergolesi Theater of Jesi, appointment with theYouth Ensemble of the Pietà de 'Turchini “Volcanic Talents", Soloists Margherita Pupulin, violin and Juan Josè Francione, archlute, on the program Il violin fantasia, music by Kapsberger, Rognoni, Marini, von Biber;

the September 10 the Festival will hold for the first time a "Spiritual Concert"For prisoners of the Montacuto prison in Ancona, thanks to the sensitivity of the Italian-Slovenian pianist Alexander Gadjiev. The event will be the first stage of a path of "Social Music" that the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation intends to carry out in the name of Gaspare Spontini: in fact, the composer used to organize a "spiritual concert" every year, allocating the proceeds “For a relief fund in favor of poor theater members”.

On the evening of 10 September (9 pm) at Pergolesi Theater It will always be Alexander Gadjiev, winner of several important international competitions, to perform with the same program in the morning, to music by Gann, Chopin, Schumann;

the September 16 (9 pm) on the same stage Enrico Pieranunzi at the piano, Gabriele Pieranunzi on the violin and Gabriele Mirabassi on the clarinet, pay homage to the musical thought of one of the most extraordinary musicians of all time with Play Gershwin;

the September 17 (9 pm) always at Pergolesi Theater, the Festival pays homage to the magisterium of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi comparing the masterpiece Stabat mater, sequence for soprano, alto, strings and continuo, with the homonymous composition by Antonio Caldara. Giulio Prandi directs the Ghislieri Choir and Orchestra for an event in collaboration with the MiTo SettembreMusica Festival;

Sunday September 18th from 17 to 19 (4 shifts), Marta Tacconi on the piano e Malgorzata Maria Bartman to violet transform the Federico II Museum of Jesi in a multifaceted musical stage with the concert Märchenbilder. Robert Schumann and Frederick II (event in collaboration with the Federico II Hohenstaufen Foundation and the Federico II Stupor Mundi Museum);

always the September 18th, at 9 pm, the stage of the Pergolesi Theater hosts the Israeli piano duo Sivan Silver and Gil Garburg, virtuosos of the 4-hand piano, engaged in pieces by Schubert is Rimsky-Korsakov.

The September 22 (5 pm to Pergolesi Theater) on the occasion of the feast of the patron saint San Settimio, a show by Social Opera which sees the disabled actors of the project as protagonists OperaH, an initiative that the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation has been promoting since 2011 in a network with cultural associations and social and health organizations in the area, and which recently won the "National Award 3.0 Inclusion". Social Opera is inspired each year by a different title of the opera season of the Pergolesi Theater, in this edition Tosca by Puccini.

News of the 2022 Festival are the "Spontini Days"Which will be held for three days in the hometown of Gaspare Spontini, Maiolati, looking to 2024, the year of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth. It starts on September 23 (9 pm) with Sing from the chamber of Spontini in Italian (on texts by Metastasio), in German (on texts by Goethe) and above all in French, the latter often dedicated to influential ladies of high society, first of all the Empress Giuseppina Bonaparte. The September 24 (6 pm) to Colle Celeste park continue with Choralia on choral pages of Spontini performed by Choirs Jesini is Arco.m Regional Association of Marches Choirs. The program of the Festival includes several other events designed for young spectators and the public of families, all on the stage of the Pergolesi Theater: Rossini Flambé. Two events are dedicated to the original initiative Wine Concert, which combines music with food and wine excellence, with two concerts for string trio in the wineries in the area followed by tastings of the best wines (11 and 18 September), while the other two appointments Residart at the Church of San Nicolò include the performance of a Quartet with piano (15 and 18 September).

The XXII Pergolesi Spontini Festival will end as usual with the concert of theOrchestra of the GB Pergolesi School of Music, Tuesday September 27 9 pm, at the Pergolesi Theater.
