I studied for years in the United States, at the Juilliard School after the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. I trained here as a pianist and as an accompanist in opera houses. Going back to Lincoln Center, where the Met where I worked as a pianist for several seasons is located, is like coming home, but this time as a conductor will be a very emotional moment. New York is my home as is Rome. "

“From a professional point of view - continues the director - the Metropolitan is one of the most important theaters in the world and the most important in America. Here Pavarotti made all his most brilliant career. It's a wonderful orchestra, and the choir too… it's a beautiful experience. I am very grateful and happy ”.

The debut at the Met was scheduled for January 2021 with Traviata, a production that was then canceled by the health emergency as the whole season, so Rigoletto, already on the calendar for some time, offers the opportunity.
