Twelve concerts on the bill
Festina Lente Association

The program closes with Alessandro Scarlatti's "Mass for the Night of the Holy Christmas" in the evocative setting of S. Agnese in Agone.

From November 30 to December 22, 2025 returns to animate the Eternal City Rome Baroque Festival, which this year crosses the finish line of eighteenth edition.

Founded and directed by Michele Gasbarro and organized by the’Festina Lente Association, the festival presents as always a refined program that traverses the astonishing sound architecture of the Baroque era, including rarities and great masterpieces.

12 concerts on the bill, with a special tribute to Alessandro Scarlatti to which they are dedicated – in 250th anniversary of his disappearance – the’inaugural appointment of the November 30 (Missa 'Alla Palestrina'), the closing concert of the December 22 (Mass for the Night of the Holy Christmas) and the first modern performance of the Serenade for three voices: Clori, Lidia and Filli (December 4th).

The main venue of the Rome Baroque Festival is an evocative place which is usually not open to the public, the Refectory of the Minims in the Monastery of Trinità dei Monti overlooking Piazza di Spagna, but the billboard also touches the magnificent Borrominian Church of Saint Agnes in Agone in Piazza Navona, the nearby Church of Santa Maria dell'Anima is San Salvatore alle Coppelle, where an event dedicated to children will take place.

Among the protagonists of this edition, the’Odhecaton Ensemble directed by Paul from Col, the British vocal group Gesualdo Six driven by Owen Park, the Slums Ensemble led by the Roman  Simone Vallerotonda, Italian Upheaval with the voice of Vincenzo Capezzuto, there Mediterranean Chapel, and the ensemble again Hespérion XXI directed by the great master Jordi Savall (concert in the Queen's Hall of the Chamber of Deputies, reserved for guests only) and finally, the’Festina Lente Ensemble directed by the same Michael Gasbarro, for the grand finale of the 2025 Festival.
