An Eclectic Talent in Classical and Contemporary Music

Pianist and conductor, Bisatti combines virtuosity, innovation and passion.

Riccardo Bisatti (Novara, 2000), pianist and conductor, graduated in piano with full marks and honors at the "Cantelli" Conservatory of Novara with Mi Alessandro Commellato and Renato Principe, also perfecting himself in fortepiano and harpsichord . He continued his conducting studies at the “G. Verdi” in Milan under the guidance of M. Daniele Agiman, after having studied with M. Matteo Beltrami in his hometown.
He has participated in numerous and prestigious masterclasses, both in piano and orchestra conducting, held by Fabio Luisi, Maria Grazia Bellocchio, Roustem Saïtkoulov, Ulrike Hofmann, Alexei Lubimov, Daniele Agiman, Simone Pedroni, Jeffrey Swann, Roberto Prosseda, Simone Bernardini, Maurizio Baglini, Pietro De Maria, Emilia Fadini, Sofya Gulyak, Filippo Gorini, Marc Bouchkov, Alessandro Torbianelli.
He has also received a scholarship from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein.
Selected by Divertimento Ensemble, since 2016 he has participated in the "Call for Young Performers", a masterclass in contemporary music with Maria Grazia Bellocchio, also working with composers Luca Mosca, Marco Di Bari, Stefano Gervasoni and Alessandro Solbiati.
He is a member of Ulysses Network, the European circuit for the dissemination of contemporary music.
He has participated in numerous national and international competitions, winning various first prizes including the VII° Concours International de piano junior of Orléans with Prize of excellence, honors and mention of the jury and Special Prize for the best performance of the piece commissioned for the occasion, the Conducting Arts Award 2022, the Serbian National Theater Award – Novi Sad at the 9th International Competition for Opera Conductors “Luigi Mancinelli”, the 1st International Competition of the City of Alessandria, the #iorestoacasa and #suonoperte Ensemble Entertainment Competition, the “Giulio Rospigliosi” National Piano Competition and the VIth International Competition of the City of Florence “Premio Crescendo 2015”.
In 2017 he received, in recognition of his talent, the prestigious medal of the Chamber of Deputies and was awarded by the President Laura Boldrini.
He has played and conducted for important festivals and associations, including the Lille Piano Festival, the Festival dei Due Mondi of Spoleto and Casa Menotti, Milano Classica, the season of the Ostrava Conservatory, Piano City Milano (Museum of the Teatro alla Scala), Rondò di Divertimento Ensemble (Teatro Litta Milano, GAM Milano, Triennale di Milano, Museo del Novecento Milano, Fabbrica del Vapore Milano, Orsolina 28 Moncalvo), Fazioli Milano, Notes in flight Malpensa (Fazioli), Trieste Prima, Roman Philharmonic Academy, Festival Brin d'herbe of Orléans Concours International (Parc Floreal de la Source Orléans and Château d'Amboise), Musica con le Ali, Gaudete, Amici della musica di Modena, Antiqua, Viotti Festival Vercelli, Fondazione Teatro Coccia Novara, MICO (Music together contemporary Bologna), Friends of the Musical Evenings of Turin, Friends of Music of Modena, Italian Cultural Institute of Oslo (CIDIM), Concert Society of Milan, Bologna Modern, International Academy in Liechtenstein, BA Classica, Alagna Music Festival, Cultural Association Second May Milan, Piedicavallo Festival.

In 2017 he performed a recital at Villa Bossi in Bodio Lomnago on three instruments from different eras. In 2018 as winner of the Orléans Concours International de piano junior he plays at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris. In 2018 he plays in duo with M°. Alessandro Commellato both for 4 hands and for two fortepianos and harpsichord. In 2018 he was invited to give a recital at the Frac Center in Orléans for the Journées Européennes du patrimoine. In 2018 he participated in the workshop on György Kurtág held by M°. Olivier Cuendet at the Pirelli Hangar Bicocca in Milan. In 2020 he participates in a show that blends music, dance and poetry with the participation of Davide Rondoni for the Coccia Theater Foundation.

At the age of 18 he made his debut as an orchestra conductor with Pergolesi's “La serva Padrona”. Subsequently he conducted "Bastien und Bastienne" by Mozart, "The Barber of Seville" by Rossini and "La traviata" by Verdi (Fondazione Teatro Coccia Novara), "Cendrillon" by P. Viardot (Teatro dell'Opera Giocosa Savona), "Kiki de Montparnasse” by A. Mannucci (first Italian performance at the Novara Conservatory). In 2021 he directed Giovanni Sollima's "Acquaprofonda" in an AsLiCo production that went on tour in many cities (Como, Cremona, Reggio Emilia, Lugano, Milan, Messina), winning the 2022 Abbiati Award "Filippo Siebaneck". In 2022 he conducted Schoenberg's "Pierrot Linaire" in Novara and Milan and a production of Rossini's "Cenerentola" for AsLiCo OperaDomani in Como, Modena, Fermo, Ascoli Piceno and Fano. In the autumn of 2022 he made a sensational debut on the podium of I Pomeriggi Musicali conducting the production of “Don Giovanni” by Mario Martone for OperaLombardia (Como, Pavia, Brescia and Cremona), a triumph that brought critics to talk about him as one of the best directorial discoveries of recent years. Subsequently he was invited to fill the role of "director in residence" at the Teatro Regio in Turin, where he deals with the musical preparation of the young artists of the Regio Ensemble and directs rehearsals and performances of the "Barber of Seville" and the "Fille du régiment ”. As part of this assignment, he was entrusted with the musical direction of the new productions of “Powder her face” by Thomas Adès and “Bastiano e Bastiana” by Mozart, as well as a concert of Verdi's symphonies and choirs for the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of the new Regio.
His performances have been broadcast by Rai Radio 3, Radio Classique France, Radio Campus Orléans and Venice Classical Radio.
He played with the Orchestra of the Accademia Giovanile dell'Annunciata in Abbiategrasso conducted by M. Riccardo Doni, with the Symphony Orchestra of the Cantelli Conservatory conducted by M. Nicola Paszkowski and with the Camerata Ducale Junior.
His passion for chamber music has led him to play with leading soloists of the Berliner Philarmoniker, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Bayerisches Staatsorchester and the Staatskapelle Berlin. In 2021 he founded the Goldberg Piano Trio with Anna Molinari (violin) and Lucia Molinari (cello), the natural result of intense friendship and musical collaboration. Furthermore, in order to further broaden the chamber music horizon, he founded the Ensemble Iri da Iri in 2022, with the aim of researching and performing the chamber music repertoire with different ensembles and with particular attention to the Italian Novecento.
