National Piano Competition Premio Venezia - 37th edition

Thanks to a constantly growing number of participants, to the authority of the jury, made up of renowned experts and concert performers, to the recognized quality of the performances, attested in general to very high levels, the award strengthens its prestige year after year, constituting a real springboard for the inclusion of the winners in the major concert seasons.

Another strong point of the event is the great participation of the public that accompanies the competition not only in the final evening, but also during the selections and the semifinals, making it one of the most popular musical events.

The Venice Award is organized by the Amici della Fenice Foundation, in collaboration with the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, with the support of the Municipality of Venice, the Veneto Region and with the patronage of the Presidency of the Republic and the Senate.

Participation is open to pianists of all nationalities under the age of 24, in possession of a diploma from the Conservatory of Music or from an Italian Equalized Musical Institute obtained in the academic year 2019/2020 with a minimum grade of 10 (old system diploma ) or from 105 to 110 (1st level academic diploma).

The Competition is divided into four rounds, the last three open to the public and also submitted to the judgment of the Popular Jury: Selection, Concerto of the competitors (maximum 12 admitted), Concerto of the five semifinalists and Concerto of the two finalists.

The Jury is made up of seven members, six for the Technical Jury, plus a representative of the Amici della Fenice Foundation (Popular Jury). The Technical Jury of this edition is composed of Massimo Contiero, Gabriele Gandini, Carla Moreni, Giorgio Pestelli, Roberto Prosseda, Gianni Tangucci.
