The Concerto for cello and strings in G major by Nicola Antonio Porpora (Naples 1686 - 1768) among the best examples of the master's reduced instrumental corpus. In free live streaming on the platform of the Pietà de'Turchini Foundation The Pietà de'Turchini Foundation is based in Naples and has among its main purposes that of enhancing the Neapolitan musical and theatrical heritage of the 15th - 18th centuries, tracing its reflections in contemporary European musical production.


Early Music Day was launched in 2013 by the Réseau Européen de Musique Ancienne (REMA). On March 21, the spring equinox and the birth date of JS Bach, the immense heritage of a millennium of European music is celebrated. The 2021 edition takes place online, with participations from all over the world.
