Thursday May 23, 2024 on the stage of the San Carlo Theater in Naples will be the protagonist Nadine Sierra: accompanied on the piano by Bryan Wagorn, the American soprano will engage in a recital characterized by the great variety of repertoire proposed, from Italian to French opera, from German lieder to Brazilian and Spanish music. A splendid opportunity to appreciate the stylistic breadth and interpretative skills of the singer, among the most sought after on the international scene.

The evening opens on the notes of French romanticism by Charles Gounod with “Ah, je veux vivre” from Roméo et Juliette, passing through the famous aria “Depuis le jour” from Louise di Gustave Charpentier, up to the intense emotions of the works of Giuseppe Verdi is Gaetano Donizetti, with “It's strange…sempre libera” from La traviata and “That look at the knight…I know the magical virtue too” from Don Pasquale.

Moving on to the German repertoire, you will listen to a selection of some of the best-known Lieder Richard Strauss, which include “Allerseelen”, “Ständchen”, “Morgen”, “Wiegenlied” and “Cäcilie”.

The concert will also touch on Brazilian music with “Melodia Sentimental” by Heitor Villa Lobos and “Engehno Novo!” Of Ernani Braga, and then moved towards the Spanish sounds of the “Cuatro madrigales amatórios” by Joaquin Rodrigo and end on the lively rhythms of the zarzuela, with “Me llaman la primorosa” by Gerónimo Giménez from El barbero de Sevilla.
