“ Season 2023 – 24 | Concerts ”
It is dedicated to the greatest operatic masterpieces Easter Concert 2024 of the San Carlo Theater in Naples, on the bill next Tuesday March 26 (hours): the musical director of the Neapolitan Massimo takes to the podium, Dan Ettinger, while the extraordinary voices of the soprano will be the protagonists on stage Maria Agresta and the tenor Freddie De Thomas.

The lineup includes some of the most famous and loved opera arias and instrumental pieces by Verdi, Puccini, Rossini, Mascagni and Ponchielli, with an episode in the French repertoire of Bizet and Saint-Saëns. If the evening opens on the notes of Giuseppe Verdi, with the Overture from La Forza del Destino followed by “Celeste Aida”, the program pays a special tribute to Giacomo  Puccini whose centenary of death this year marks: the Lucca-born composer will hear arias from Bohème, Madama Butterfly and Tosca, with the famous duet from Act I, “Mario! Mario! Mario!” – “I'm here!” to close the concert. But the layout also includes a splendid piece from the Mona Lisa by Hamilcar Ponchielli, a title that will be on stage at the San Carlo from 10 to 17 April, and one of the best-known arias in the French repertoire, “La fleur que tu m'avais jetée” from Carmen by Georges Bizet. The program is punctuated by several instrumental pieces, the Internezzo da cavalleria rusticana by Peter Mascagni, the Overture from William Tell by Joachim Rossini and the Bacchanale from Samson et Dalila's Camille SaintSaëns.
