Naples, at the Teatro San Carlo Ballet for Peace, Ukrainian and Russian first dancers dance together for Ukraine
From the most prestigious theaters in the world they will arrive on the stage of the San Carlo to dance united for peace, with the special presence of Anastasia Gurskaya and Stanislav Olshanskyi, first dancers of the Kyiv Opera who escaped from the bombs - Olga Smirnova has joined the cast

Ballet for Peace to the San Carlo Theater of Naples, the April 4th (9 pm), First Ukrainian and Russian dancers will arrive on the stage of the Neapolitan Massimo from the most prestigious theaters in the world and will dance together for peace on a special evening of Fundraising gala in favor ofUkraine.

Prestigious names continue to be added to the cast, most recently that of the highly acclaimed Russian prima ballerina - now at the Dutch National Ballet Amsterdam - Olga Smirnova, which left the Bolshoi Theater a few days ago, in disagreement with the war policy against which it immediately took sides. His stage partner is the principal dancer Victor Caixeta, resigned from the Mariinsky Theater for the same reasons.

The cast also sees the extraordinary presence of Anastasia Gurskaya is Stanislav Olshanskyi, principal dancers of the Kyiv Opera, escaped from the war when the bombing has begun, the artists will share their talent for a special evening in the name of peace.

They will then perform in the very rich program  Iana Salenko, Dinu Tamazlacaru, Anastasia Matvienko, Denis Matvienko, Maria Yakovleva, Denys Cherevychko, Kateryna Shalkina, Oscar Chacon, Maria Kochetkova, Sebastian Kloborg, Oleksandrja Ryabko, Silvia Azzoni, Timofej Andrijashenko, Alex Khaneyi, Kat Popov, Liudmila Konovalova, Anna Chiara Amirante, Luisa Ieluzzi, Stanislao Capissi, Alessandro Staiano and the pianist Igor Zapravdin, accompanying teacher.

Alongside the international stars of major European theaters, they will also be on stage Luisa Ieluzzi is Stanislao I understood, excellence of the Corps de ballet of San Carlo directed by Clotilde Vayer.

The entire proceeds of the evening will be donated directly to help Ukraine.

“With the worsening of the situation in Ukraine - underlines the soverseer Stéphane Lissner - it is important, as a theater, to give a concrete signal of closeness to those who suffer, for this reason we organize the fund raising gala in line with our mission as a place of culture. This crisis is even more reminiscent of how fundamental the role of theaters and of culture in general is ”.

“Our line - says the director Emmanuela Spedaliere - is to give support, in the many educational projects active at San Carlo, to young Ukrainians who have arrived in Naples. For this unscheduled event, a pricing policy has been taken into account that meets everyone's needs with tickets from 15 to 50 euros, it will be possible to purchase online on the San Carlo website ".

The Gala 'Ballet for Peace'was born on the initiative of Alessio Carbone, ancien premier danseur of the Paris Opera, which in the space of a few days involved extraordinary dancers from all over Europe and beyond in this important event.

The evening, unmissable from every point of view, will show off a succession of two steps and solos from the great classical and contemporary repertoire. “Dance has the power to move, to unite - explains Carbone - that's why the idea for this show was born. The rich history of classical dance and its tradition are deeply linked to Ukrainian and Russian cultures. We will use the strength of our passion and the beautiful friendship between us dancers to help Ukraine and show the world that we stand united for peace ”.
