“ Season 2023 – 24 ”
TO Milan Monday December 18 (8pm) the star Juan Diego Flórez inaugurates the Singing Recital Season 2023/24 of the Teatro alla Scala: the famous Peruvian tenor, darling of the public, returns to the Piermarini with a 'sold out', after having been applauded co-star of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor conducted by Riccardo Chailly in the last Opera Season, and after the triumphant success of his recital in May 2022.

Together with the pianist Vincenzo Scalera, Juan Diego Flórez faces a vast and engaging program that highlights the broad spectrum of his vocal qualities and expressive possibilities: from the Baroque to Jordans, Handel is Scarlet to Mozart and to the chamber lyrics of Tosti up to the work with Rossini, Donizetti is greens.

Other information of interest

The Singing recital will continue with another five events from February to June 2024 – some of the major artists of the international opera and lieder scene will be the protagonists:

February 5th is expected Christian Gerhaher with Gerold Huber, March 11 Elīna Garanča with Malcolm Martineau, March 24 Rosa Feola with Fabio Centanni, on May 19th Lisette Oropesa with Beatrice Benzi and June 23rd Roberto Alagna with Jeff Cohen.
