Mariangela Sicilia has been applauded at many of the world's most prestigious opera houses and festivals, including the Opéra National de Paris, Teatro Real Madrid, the Salzburg Festival, Sydney Opera House, Dutch National Opera Amsterdam and the Opera of Monte-Carlo.

Mariangela Sicilia has achieved extraordinary successes with audiences and critics at many prestigious opera houses and international festivals, including the Opéra National in Paris, Teatro Real in Madrid, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, the Salzburg Festival, the Sydney Opera House, the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam and the Monte-Carlo Opéra as well as Les Choregies d'Orange, the Rome Opera House, the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing, the Teatro San Carlo of Naples, the Teatro Regio of Turin, the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence and the Arena of Verona.
 
He has worked with conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Placido Domingo, Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, Sir Mark Elder, Asher Fisch, Riccardo Frizza, Francesco Lanzillotta, Michele Mariotti, Stefano Montanari, Chung Myung-whun, Daniel Oren, Antonio Pappano, Alberto Zedda and with important directors such as Robert Carsen, Rosetta Cucchi, Hugo De Ana, Denis Krief, Gabriele Lavia, Davide Livermore, Terry Gilliam, David McVicar, Damiano Michieletto, Jonathan Miller, Chiara Muti, Sir Graham Vick.
 
Among the salient productions of his career stand out Guild in Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Mimi neither La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini at the Sydney Opera House (2017), at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna (2018), at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow (2019), at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin (2019), Juliet neither The Capulets and the Montagues at the Rome Opera House (2020), Corinna neither The journey to Reims (2013) both at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome (2017) and also at the Palau de la Reina Sofia in Valencia (2020), Teresa in Welcome Cellini in Amsterdam (2015) and in Rome (2016), Adina neither The elixir of love at the Teatro Regio in Turin (2021), at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo (2014) and at the Macerata Opera Festival (2018), Violet neither The Traviata at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples (2017), at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna (2019) and at the Deutsche Oper Berlin (2019), Micaëla in Carmen at the Teatro Regio in Turin (2016) and at the Arena di Verona (2018/2019), Maria in Mascagni's rarely performed work William Ratcliff at the Wexford Festival.
 
Mariangela Sicilia, born in Cosenza, perfected herself under the technical guidance of master Fernando Cordeiro Opa; he previously studied with soprano Carmela Remigio and Maestro Leone Magiera, perfecting his repertoire at the Mozart Academy of the Aix-en-Provance Festival (2010) and at the Rossini Academy in Pesaro (2012).
 
She is the winner of the prestigious international competition Operalia by Plácido Domingo (third prize 2014).
 
La Bohème at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna conducted by Michele Mariotti and directed by Graham Vick wins the prestigious Abbiati 2019 award. "A magnificent Mimì" (La Stampa, Alberto Mattioli).
 
Mariangela Sicilia has recorded Vivetta in the world's first commercial DVD and Blu-Ray recording of Cilea's L'arlesiana, released on the Dynamic label in 2013. Benvenuto Cellini is available on DVD/Blu-Ray with Mariangela as Teresa (Naxos).
