The English Yuanfan Yang wins the 32nd of the Alessandro Casagrande International Piano Competition
Second place went to the American Samuel Gliklich, third prize to the Italian Serena Valluzzi
It ended on Saturday September 17, 2022 to Terni there 32 edition of the Alessandro Casagrande International Piano Competition: to win the victory, the British Yuanfan Yang, followed by the US Samuel Glicklich, runner-up, and from the Italian Serena Valluzzi, to the third place.

Yuanfan Yang he ranked first with a superb execution of the Concert n. 3 op. 9 in C minor for piano and orchestra by Ludwig van Beethoven (chosen by all three finalists), with theAbruzzese Symphony Orchestra directed by M ° Marco Boni.

To decree the victory of the British pianist, the jury chaired by Carlo Guaitoli (Italy), consisting of Enrica Ciccarelli (Italy), Romain Descharmes (France), Yuka Imamine (Japan), Piers Lane (Australia), Roland Pöntinen (Sweden), Jerome Rose (USA).

Yuanfan Yang wins € 20,000 offered by the Casagrande Foundation and the Carit Foundation, together with a concert tour at prestigious musical institutions in Italy and abroad, including: Società dei Concerti di Milano, IUC-Istituzione Universitaria Concerti di Roma, Fazioli Concert Hall in Sacile, Italian Musical Youth, Lingotto Musica Association of Turin, Abruzzese Symphonic Orchestra, Umbrian Philharmonic Association, Friends of Music of Foligno, Municipal Theater of Carpi, Emilia Romagna Festival, "Anna Jervolino" Musical Association of Caserta, Festival du Vigan (France) .

American style Samuel Gliklich, runner-up, go € 8000, and € 4000 Italian style Serena Valluzzi, third classified.

Each of the three winners was also awarded a Special award:

TO Yang Yuanfan went on He rewarded the audience for the Final with Orchestra (1500 €), offered by Rotary Club Terni, a Samuel Glicklich the Gianni Scarficcia Award for the youngest finalist (1000 €), memtre a Serena Valluzzi was awarded the Dario De Rosa Prize for the best performance of L. van Beethoven's Sonata (1000 €), offered by Lions Club Terni Host.

The Adriana, Franco and Marina Casagrande Award for the best performance of a piece by A. Casagrande (€ 2000) offered by Elena and Michele Benucci, was awarded to the Japanese semifinalist Mayaka Nakagawa.
