La Scala Philharmonic plays on the Acropolis for the Athens Epidaurus Festival, conducted by Myung-Whun Chung
The concert is scheduled for June 26th
After the success of the Concert for Milan directed by Riccardo Chailly in Piazza Duomo (June 12), la La Scala Philharmonic is expected June 26 to Athens, where he will perform on the occasion ofAthens Epidaurus Festival.

The Filarmonica della Scala returns to all'Odeon of Herodes Atticus after more than 10 years since the last appearance with Semyon Bychkov in 2011 and with Daniel Barenboim in 2009.

The long-awaited concert by the Scala family in the ancient Acropolis theater is scheduled for Sunday June 26, 2022 (9 pm), on the podium Myung-Whun Chung, among the most assiduous conductors to lead the Philharmonic in concerts on tour. The program includes theOverture from The Italian in Algiers of Gioacchino Rossini, the Symphony n. 2 in D major of Ludwig van Beethoven and the Symphony n. 9 in E minor From the New World of Antonín Dvořák.

Myung-Whun Chung, one of the most popular conductors in the world, he has been linked to the Filarmonica della Scala since 1989. The Korean conductor has always defined himself as a friend of the orchestra, with over one hundred concerts and numerous tours he is among the most assiduous conductors on the podium of the Philharmonic and among the most loved by the public.
