42nd Bologna Festival 2023 – Great performers”
Angela Hewitt, one of the best known and most appreciated pianists on the international scene, will be a guest of the Bologna Festival with a concert included in the review Great Interpretersscheduled for Tuesday April 18, 2023 to the Manzoni Auditorium Theater.

The Canadian artist, Glenn Gould's ideal heir, in exactly twenty years, from 1994 to 2014, recorded all of Johann Sebastian Bach's keyboard works: an award-winning project, described as "one of the recording glories of our time” from the Sunday Times. And between 2007 and 2008 Angela Hewitt performed the Well tempered harpsichord in 21 different countries spread across all continents. Two monumental undertakings that testify to the desire to possess a broad and complete, "total" look at the work of a composer: a vocation that last year prompted her to undertake a new challenge, the complete recording of the Piano Sonatas by Mozart.

And it is no coincidence that for the recital in Bologna Angela Hewitt sets up her favorite composers, Bach, Mozart is Scarlet.
