Hermans Festival “Summer Edition” 2022 in Valnerina
The summer version of the Umbrian festival dedicated to organ concerts and ancient music is back
After the success of the Winter Edition which for the first time doubled the events of the exhibition, theHermans Festival, an event founded since 1995 and dedicated to organ concerts and to ancient music, back in the usual summer version: from 21 August to 11 September 2022 L'Hermans Festival 2022 Summer Edition will touch several municipalities of'Umbria, in Valnerina, with concerts ad Arrone, Collescipoli, Montefranco.

Extraordinary ancient organs and a parterre of high level artists are as usual the cornerstones ofHermans Festival, which has its fulcrum and its root in two precious instruments of Collescipoli: L'organ W. Hermans (1678) and theorgan L. Neri (1647), among the oldest and most important in Italy, located respectively in the Collegiate Church of S. Maria Maggiore and in Collegiate Church of San Nicolò in Collescipoli (Terni).

L'Hermans Festival Summer 2022 presents a large and varied program, centered as every year onHermans Academy, "Soul and engine" of the Festival, together with prestigious national and international performers.

“The Hermans Academy, he declares Fabio Ceccarelli, President of the Hermans Festival Association, has put in place an important commitment: numerous new musical productions and great international guests. Over 60 musicians specializing in early music will be the protagonists of the summer edition which will close with an exceptional artist such as Milan Turković ”.

Concerts

Nine appointments scheduled for theHermans Festival 2022, after the preview of 18 June which saw the mezzo-soprano Lucia Napoli alongside the Hermans Academy, we start on Sunday August 21 in the small town of Montefranco, in Piazza Micheli, with A 'Balli A' Canti - Dances and Arias from the Courts of Europe, with Annalisa Pellegrini, soprano, Rosary Cicero, Renaissance and Baroque guitar, e Stefano Todarello, lute and theorbo.

Monday August 22 the festival moves to Collescipoli proposing a real rarity, Music for two choirs, concert for two organs with Markku Mäkinen is Fabio Ciofini, which will play both the Hermans organ of 1678 and the second organ of the suggestive Collegiate Church of S. Maria Maggiore. Songs by Vivaldi, Haendel, Johann Christian Bach. Johann Ludwig Krebs.

In the same place, Tuesday 23 August it will be the turn of Stylus Phantasticus - Hidden writing, hero Irene De Ruvo to the organ.

Always a Collescipoli, but at the Collegiate Church of San Nicolò, Wednesday August 24 it will be an opportunity to hear the magnificent repertoire for organ and soprano from the 16th to the 18th century, Cantantibus Organis, with Laura Andreini, soprano, and Daniele Dori, organ.

To Arrone, in the'Ancient Convent of San Francesco, Thursday 25 August is on schedule The poorest lover, with Lucia Casagrande Raffi, soprano, who will perform together with theHermans Academy: Fabio Ceccarelli, traversiere, Alessandra Montani, baroque cello, and Fabio Ciofini, harpsichord and conducting. The Cantata of Alessandro Stradella which gives the title to the evening, alongside pieces by Locatelli, Carissimi, Vivaldi and others.

Friday August 26 you go back to Collescipoli, in the Collegiate Church of San Nicolò, on the bill Flores de Musica, with Steno Boesso, dulciana and bassoon, ed Enrico Zanovello, organ. The duo will propose a varied program, starting with the Spanish 'musical flowers' Antonio Martin Y Coll,  in pieces of Telemann, Galuppi, Couperin

L'Hermans Festival continues on Saturday August 27 in the'Ancient Convent of Saint Francisto Arrone with Albinoni - Bach - Telemann, who will see Giorgio Matteoli to the recorder and the direction, Fabio Ceccarelli to the traversiere, Claudio Andriani on the violin and Luca Ambrosio on the harpsichord, with theEnsemble Festa Rustica: Claudio Andriani, David Simonacci, Maria Vittoria Carosi, violins, Emanuele Marcante, viola, Michele Lanzini, cello, Silvia De Rosso, double bass.

Sunday August 28 (6 pm), a Collescipoli, in the Collegiate Church of S. Maria Maggiore, is scheduled to Missa Sancti Nicolai Tolentini of Johann Michael Haydn, younger brother of the much more famous Franz Joseph. With Alessia Cingolani, soprano, Maria Carmen Ciuffreda, soprano, el'Instrumental ensemble of the Coristi A Priori: Elena Casagrande, violin I, Giulia Capacci, violin II, Andrea Rellini, cello, Maurizio Maffezzoli, organ, conducted by Carmen Cicconofri.

Finally, thelast concert scheduled for theHermans Festival Summer Edition 2022, Sunday Sept. 11 (6 pm) a Collescipoli in Collegiate Church of S. Maria Maggiore, Sara Mozart - Cimarosa - Haydn, with Francesco Chirivì, flute, Fabio Ceccarelli, flute, Erard Academy The Harmonica brand, and the direction of Milan Turković.
