GIM YF Genoa International Music Youth Festival 2022
The international youth festival restarts in Genoa
After the events in some of the most prestigious theaters in Peru and Chile, where, among other things, he contributed to the recording of a disc, the season of the GIMYF (Genoa International Music Youth Festival), characterized by international cooperation and co-organized by Municipality of Genoa - Department of Cultural Policies and fromInternational Association of United Cultures.

The first evening includes an event in the Hall of the Great Council of the Doge's Palace, scheduled for Sunday February 27 at 21.

On stage there will be theorchestra of the Archi Moderni Veneti- with Freddy Varela and Andrea Bacchetti respectively violin and piano soloists - who will perform "Un mot a Paganini" by Gioachino Rossini, Mozart's Concerto for piano and orchestra n.26 in D Major K 537 and Mendelssohn's Concerto for violin and Orchestra in D Minor .

From 24 February to 3 March a delegation from Chile, made up of the mayor and rector of the University of Concepcion as well as the governor of the Bio Bio Region, will be in Genoa at the invitation of the Municipality and AICU For the occasion, on 1 March , at the Royal Palace at 3 pm there will be a concert with young Chilean talents, with whom the GIMYF has collaborated from November to January in Concepcion. This collaboration also includes a masterclass that the Chilean musicians will hold in the presence of the students of the Liceo Pertini in Genoa, partner of the GIMYF as regards training courses.

The common path between the GIMYF and the Chile Opera Festival began two years ago and materializes in this 2022 after the setback due to the pandemic.

Music by Beethoven, Mozart and Schubert on the program). Andrea Bacchetti on the piano, Freddy Valera on the violin, Miguel Galdames on the trumpet and Matias Ascui on the trombone will perform on stage.

The season then provides other concerts and international meetings: the performance of Puccini's Messa di Gloria (April 22), the Russian Opera Gala (May 11), Zarzuela and Flamenco (June 7). July 27 will be the turn of the Georgian Ballet. Opera on the Sea is instead the title of the last event, on 7 August.

Among the collateral events there will be the International Youth Singing Competition (April 7), the performance of young Genoese talents (May 11,12,13 on the occasion of the Rolli Days), and the youth music festival in June.

The concerts are free.
