Society of the Milan Quartet Presents

"Beethoven Mania at Villa Necchi"
Gabriele Carcano closes Beethoven Mania on 18 July, a cycle of three events dedicated to the genius of Bonn in the splendid setting of Villa Necchi Campiglio, interpreting some of the most famous Sonatas in the Beethoven catalog.

The villa, surrounded by a large private garden with swimming pool and tennis court in the center of Milan, was completed in 1935 based on a project by the architect Piero Portaluppi. Built as the residence of the Necchi Campiglio family, members of the rich and elegant industrial bourgeoisie of Milan in the 1930s, it was donated to Fai in 2001. The concerts take place in the large pavilion that once hosted tennis matches.
