New Musical Spaces Festival 2022
The review curated by the composer Ada Gentile reaches its 43rd edition, four new commissioned "pocket operas" that will be presented in absolute premiere
It comes to the 43. edition the New Musical Spaces Festival, contemporary music review curated by the composer Ada Gentile: on stage from 7 to 21 October 2022 to Ascoli Piceno, the festival proposes seven dates with ensembles and soloists who alternate in a rich program of first absolute and Italian executions.

Centerpiece of this year's program, four “Pocket operas"That will be presented premiered, commissions of the New Spazi Musicali 2022 festival to composers Marco Betta, Lucio Gregoretti, Lamberto Lugli is Filippo Scaramucci. The "pocket operas" that have long characterized the exhibition, belong to the funny genre and are, as the name suggests, short works for small ensembles, with an essential staging, suitable for being circulated overcoming the logistical difficulties of traditional works), much that several compositions from previous editions have been successfully toured, including in the United States.

And it will be the four operas in absolute premiere to open and close the festival New Musical Spaces 2022: L'inauguration Friday October 7 (8.30 pm) presents the works of Lucio Gregoretti on text of Job Covatta and of Marco Betta on texts by Sandro Cappelletto; the final evening, Friday October 21 at the same time, he sees the compositions of Lamberto Lugli is Filippo Scaramucthere, respectively on texts of Marco Maria Tosolini is Paolo Peretti. The protagonists on stage in all four operas will be the soprano Annalisa Di Ciccio, the bass Stefano Stella, L'New Musical Spaces Ensemble, to which are added the narrator of Donatella Ferretti in the early evening and the actress Pamela Olivieri in the second.

The central evenings of the bill are dedicated to concerts:

Sunday October 9 (5.30 pm) a particularly intriguing concert is scheduled with the young percussionist from Abruzzo Ludovico Venturini which will offer a wide overview of contemporary literature for percussion, running in Italian premiere works written by composers from various countries: Iceland, France, England, Scotland, New Zealand, Serbia and Italy;

Tuesday October 11th the Russian pianist is on stage Anna Pavlova, for years resident in Vienna and regular guest of concert halls all over Europe; will perform in a program marked by virtuosity, including pieces by Stravinsky, Schedrin, Denisov, Ginastera is two world premieres of Italian composers Stefano Cucci is Leonardo Rizzo;

we move on to chamber music with the next concert of October 14 (8.30 pm), which sees the Trio Ad Libitum, made up of three young Tuscan winners of numerous competitions; next to Shostakovich the ensemble performs two new works commissioned for the occasion to composers Riccardo Piacentini is Giovanni Claudio Traversi.

Sunday October 16 one is scheduled at 5.30 pm panel discussion in homage to the great composer Goffredo Petrassi (Zagarolo 1904 - Rome 2003), Head of the Roman School of Composition: the same intervenes Ada Gentile, who was a pupil of Petrassi, and well-known musicologists who together with Prof. Stefano Papetti will illuminate the figure, while the young pianist ascoli Alessio Falciani he will perform the famous one Toccata.

Finally, Tuesday October 18 (8.30 pm) the emerging cellist Claudio Pasceri plays music by Bach, Emmanuel Levinas, of well-known contemporary Italian composers Sciarrino, Montalti, Dadone, Gentile and, in world premiere, by the Turin composer Gilberto Bosco.
