Acclaimed as one of the world's leading interpreters of the Italian and French repertoire, Evelino Pidò's prestigious career has taken him to the most illustrious opera houses around the world, collaborating with top-level artists, conductors and orchestras.

Pidò's recent successes include L'elisir d'amore and Lucia di Lammermoor for the Bayerische Staatsoper, Les Huguenots for La Monnaie, Viva La Mamma for the Teatro Real, Elisabetta, regina d'england for the Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro, his most recent return to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden for Don Pasquale, having previously conducted La Boheme and La Fille du regiment, I Puritani at the Teatro Real, Zelmira for the Opéra National de Lyon, Adriana Lecouvreur in concert at the Monnaie , Anna Bolena, Lucia di Lammermoor and Don Pasquale at the Wiener Staatsoper, La traviata at the Gran Theater del Liceu, Rigoletto at the Bolshoi Theater, La Traviata for the Teatro Colon, Tosca and Don Pasquale for the Opéra National de Paris, Il Turco in Italia at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, La Wally at the Grand Théâtre de Genève and Simon Boccanegra for the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia with Placido Domingo.

In 2012, Evelino Pidò received the coveted Bellini d'Oro award as the best interpreter of Bellini's music. His discography includes a recording of French arias with the tenor Vittorio Grigòlo, Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore with the Orchestra and Chorus of the Opéra de Lyon for Decca; a recording of Rossini overtures with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and La Sonnambula with Natalie Dessay for EMI Virgin Classics, which won a Diapason d'or and is recognized by critics as a landmark recording of this work.
