Davide Ranaldi is the winning pianist of the 2021 Venice Prize
The Casella Award to the second place Kostandin Tashko
The Milanese Davide Ranaldi, graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan won the 37. Edition of the National Piano Competition “Premio Venezia", Held from 23 to 28 November to the La Fenice Theater.

The Second Prize, named after Alfredo Casella, was assigned to Kostandin Tashko, pupil of the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory of Trieste.

In the final concert Davide Ranaldi imposed himself with the performance of the Sonata in B minor S. 178 by Franz Liszt, while Kostandin Tashko played the suite from The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky in the arrangement by Mikhail Pletnev ei Trois mouvements de Pétrouchka by Stravinsky.

In addition to the two finalists, they ranked al third place Josef Edoardo Move them, a student of the Higher Institute of Musical Studies Gaetano Donizetti of Bergamo, fourth classified it turned out Jacopo Fulimeni of the Giovan Battista Pergolesi Conservatory of Fermo, while the fifth place went to Davide Scarabottolo pupil of the Cesare Pollini Conservatory of Padua.

Thus ended on Sunday 28 November 2021 the 37th edition of the National Piano Competition "Venice Prize", organized annually by Friends of the Phoenix Foundation in collaboration with the La Fenice Theater Foundation and with the contribution of Veneto region.

The Technical jury, this year chaired by Giorgio Pestelli, was composed of Massimo Contiero, Gabriele Gandini, Carla Moreni, Roberto Prosseda and Gianni Tangucci, while the Popular Jury of the Friends of the Phoenix was chaired by Mair of the Glory of Segorbe.

The winners were awarded scholarships is awards for an amount of over 90 thousand euros, the possibility of holding numerous concerts in Italy e abroad, and prestigious institutional awards: the medal of the Presidency of the Senate, the Plaque of the President of the Republic, of the Prefecture of Venice and the Plaque of the Veneto Region, the first three classified went to the Plaque of the Municipality of Venice and the La Fenice Theater Foundation.
