L'"Annarosa Taddei" Association arrange a International competition dedicated to young Italian and foreign musicians to assign three Awards named after Annarosa Taddei, in memory of her help and encouragement lavished on young people especially in the last years of her long life.

The “Annarosa Taddei“ Award consists of three different scholarships and ininvitation to give concerts at some Italian concert institutions.

All young Italian and foreign musicians aged between 20 and 32, or born between 1990 and 2002, can participate.

The 2022 edition is reserved for pianists and is dedicated to Beethoven.

Who was Annarosa Taddei

Annarosa Taddei (Pisa 1918 - Rome 2011), famous pianist, he graduated from the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Florence, and subsequently attended the Specialization Course in Piano at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia with Alfredo Casella.

He made a name for himself in Italian concertism in 1946 playing with the RAI Symphony Orchestra of Rome (John Ireland's Piano Concerto). The following year she met the famous pianist and conductor Alfred Cortot, with whom she perfected until 1949 and who introduced her to an international career.

In the fifties she started an intense recording activity, which led her, among other things, to record reference recordings of piano works by Sandro Fuga, Alfredo Casella and Domenico Scarlatti for the Cetra.

Over the course of her thirty-year concert career Annarosa Taddei has performed in twenty-one countries, collaborated with conductors such as Carl Schuricht, Jonel Perlea, Ernest Ansermet, Hermann Scherchen, and has played with some of the most prestigious symphony orchestras in the world, including including the Wiener Symphoniker, the RAI National Symphony Orchestra of Rome, Florence and Turin, the Suisse Romande Orchestra, the Sydney Mozart Orchestra, the ABL Orchestra - Tansmania and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

After a long period spent in Hong Kong he returns to Italy and teaches at the Conservatories of Rome and Perugia where he cultivated a large group of students, which he supported until the beginning of their careers.

In 2012 theAnnarosa Taddei Cultural Association, dedicated to her and born with the intention of gathering the spirit of support for young musicians.
Prizes: The three finalists with the highest scores will receive the following prizes:

First Prize 8000 €
Second Prize 4.000 €
Third Prize 2.000 €

The winners of the First and Second Prize will be offered some concerts at Italian institutions
