"The Teatro Massimo for the ANFOLS project"
Dedicated to three great Russian composers of the twentieth century, the new appointment with the web TV of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Saturday 16 January and Sunday 17, on demand throughout the day. A chamber concert with Omer Meir Wellber is scheduled to conduct the soloists of the Teatro Massimo to music by Sergej Prokofiev, Alfred Schnittke, Igor Stravinsky and the participation of actor Eli Danker.


Each live broadcast will be introduced by a guide, the superintendent, the artistic consultant or the musical director, who will guide the spectator to discover the show program for which the theater programs will also be made available, downloadable for free from the Theater website. Omer Meir Wellber on the piano, Salvatore Greco on the violin, Daniele Pisanelli on the double bass, Alessio Vicario on the clarinet, Giuseppe Davì on the bassoon, Salvatore Piazza on the cornet, Michele De Luca on the trombone, Rosario Barretta on percussion.


It starts with theOverture on Jewish themes op. 34, composed in 1918 by Sergej Prokofiev. Salvatore Greco (Violin I), Donato Cuciniello (Violin II), Gaspare D'Amato (Viola), Giuseppe Nastro (Violoncello), Alessio Vicario (Clarinet) and Wellber himself at the piano. The second track on the program is the Quintet for Piano and Strings, one of the most important among the works of Alfred Schnittke. At the piano Omer Meir Wellber, with him the string quartet composed by Salvatore Greco, Donato Cuciniello, Gaspare D'Amato and Giuseppe Nastro. The program closes, fifty years after the author's death, theHistoire du soldat, the sad tale of Igor Stravinsky on booklet by Charles Ferdinand Ramuz. On stage, combining music and acting, the Israeli actor Eli Danker, which tells the story of the young soldier.
