Christian Saggese has given concerts in various European countries, the United States and Japan; has
he worked with Mauricio Kagel and György Kurtág among others. Alongside the concert activity he holds numerous masterclasses throughout Italy.

Christian Saggese was born in Verona in 1974, he approached the classical guitar at the age of eleven, studying privately with Candido Lodezzano and subsequently perfecting himself in electric guitar, mandolin and harpguitar.
He then continued his studies with Angelo Gilardino and completed his studies under the guidance of Stefano Aruta. Having started a concert career in 1992, he has given concerts as a soloist and in chamber ensembles in Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Russia, England, USA and Japan.
Winner of some of the most important guitar competitions, starting with the First Prize at the "Andres Segovia" International Competition in Almunecar, Spain (1999), at the "Vincenzo De Bonis", at the Cosenza International Competition (2001), at the "Pittaluga" of Alessandria (2002).
Christian Saggese worked with Mauricio Kagel, Area, György Kurtág, Jakko Jackson. Perey Jones, Guy Pratt, Richard Barbieri, Tony Levin, Adrian Belew, Trey Gunn, Pat Mastelotto, Marco Minneman, Mick Kam, Jerry Marotta, Ares Tavolazzi, Mike Keneally and many others, and is dedicatee of pieces composed by Angelo Gilardino, Carla Rebora, John Carollo.
Christian Saggese continues his concert activity in various countries of the world and holds masterclasses throughout Italy.
Recently the publication of his fourth solo CD, “Little masterworks for guitar”, dedicated to the studies of Fernando Sor (1778-1839) and Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829), for the Dotguitar / Cd label.
