House of Music
The House of Music is located in Palazzo Cusani, built in the second half of the 15th century and reopened in 2002 following a careful restoration by the Municipality of Parma.

Palazzo Cusani was built in the second half of the 15th century by the will of the Parma branch of the Cusani family, originally from Milan. In the 17th century it was sold to the Municipality of Parma and became the seat of the Faculty of Medicine and Law of the University of Parma. The pictorial decorations, in part still visible, date back to that period, alternating allegorical scenes with heraldic coats of arms and inscriptions referring to the professors of the University.
On November 9, 1983 the building was damaged by a strong earthquake, which caused its closure.
The Palace reopened in November 2002 as the seat of the House of Music.
It is made up of multiple spaces: a Concert Hall, an Auditorium, a Library - Mediatheque for consultation and lending, equipped with a listening room and internet stations, the Historical Archive of the Teatro Regio. Each space has been designed and built for a particular function, so as to make the building the usual venue for various musical or spectacular events, conferences, seminars, presentations, video projections, cultural meetings, educational activities, exhibitions. The cloister also allows you to host outdoor musical events during the summer months.
