Camerino Festival 2022
The 36th edition of the exhibition in the ancient ducal city of the Marche Apennines
Takes place from 10 July to 14 August 2022 there 36 edition of the Camerino Festival, the international music festival that this year will touch seven places significant of the city presenting nine events including classical, jazz, blues and dance.

They will then be animated by the musical events of the Camerino Festival 2022  there Rocca Borgesca erected at the behest of Valentino, the Rocca d'Ajello, ancient fortress of the dukes of Varano, lords of Camerino, the Basilica of San Venantius, the first religious building reopened after the 2016 earthquake, the Romanesque Church of San Giusto in Valfornace, le medieval streets of the historic center, but also theAuditorium of the Franco Corelli Academy, a modern structure donated by the Bocelli Foundation and, essential, theAuditorium Benedict XIII of the University of Camerino, a true cultural beacon of the city.

The artistic direction of the Camerino Festival 2022 is entrusted to Vincenzo Correnti, Daniele Massimi is Francesco Rosati, exponents of three musical associations point of reference in the area: Now Music, Musicamdo is Musical Youth.

The review opens on Sunday 10th of July toBenedict XIII Auditorium with the legendary American guitarist John Scofield, which will stop in Camerino on one of its four Italian dates. Winner of three Grammys, the musician will present his project in quartet "Yankee go home".

After this preview, the programming continues over the following three weekends: Sunday July 31 you pass to the classic with the Cremona String Quartet, among the most interesting chamber ensembles on an international level, testimonial of projects such as the “Friends of Stradivari”, which in October 2023 will make its debut at Carnegie Hall in New York. All 'Corelli Academy the ensemble will propose a rarity of the chamber repertoire, the Quartet of Giuseppe Verdi, and one of the most beloved masterpieces of romantic literature, the Quartet "Death and the Maiden" from Franz Schubert.

On August 4, the Milanese Company Sanpapié, directed by the choreographer and interpreter Lara Guidetti, with 'Amygdala ' will bring the tradition of theater-dance in a traveling public dance performance;

the 5th August in the fascinating setting of Rocca d'Ajello, ancient manor of the dukes of Varano, Daniele Di Bonaventura al bandoneon e Arild Andersen on the double bass, they will pay homage to the recently deceased percussionist Paolo Vinaccia, between the rarefied sonority of the Arctic and the Mediterranean and Balkan sounds;

the August 6 in Church of San Giusto in Valfornace, the Clarinet Trio of Alessandro Carbonare presents a varied program from Mozart to Chick Corea and beyond. Carbonare, first clarinet of the Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia and one of the most requested soloists of the classical music scene, with his Trio he explores a very diversified repertoire, from chamber music to klezmer music, up to the American songbook;

Sunday August 7, in the Basilica of San Venanzio, the great Baroque music will be the protagonist with the philological proposal ofOpera ensemble Before and the American soprano Amanda Forsythe. A vocal and instrumental journey through a selected program of Cantatas, Oratorios and Sonatas by Georg Friedrich Händel, chosen among the works born from the crucial Italian experience of the Saxon composer.

The final weekend of the Camerino Festival 2022 opens on Friday August 12 at the Rocca Borgesca with the duo that brings together the extraordinary voice of Chiara Civello and the piano of Rita Marcotulli, queen of Italian jazz.

The August 13 will take the stage of theFranco Corelli Academy the young Korean pianist Jae Hong Park, winner of the prestigious Busoni International Competition of Bolzano. A revelation of international pianism, Jae Hong Park from a very young age has collected first prizes in major international competitions, such as Gina Bachauer Young Artists International Piano Competition, Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists, Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition.

TO close the 36th edition of the Camerino Festival, Sunday August 14 at the Rocca Borgesca, will be theWind Orchestra City of Camerino directed by M ° Vincenzo Correnti, with an evening dedicated to film music. The team, which for years has been carrying out an intense activity aimed at enhancing the many young musicians present in the area, has recently performed at the Senate of the Republic and at the Sferisterio in Macerata, accompanying Andrea Bocelli and the pop musician Giovanni Caccamo. For the occasion, he will present 'Music in Italian cinema', the most popular songs by Piovani, Morricone, Rota, Cipriani, Bacalov and others.
