Bologna Festival
The festival is made up of various reviews: “Grandi Interpreti”, dedicated to the great classical-romantic repertoire and to symphonic-choral masterpieces; “Talents”, a space open to new promises; “Il Nuovo l'Antico” which combines ancient music, always proposed in philological performances, with contemporary and twentieth century music.

Founder

Bologna Festival Association

Born in 1982, the Bologna Festival has stood out over time for the cultural rigor of its programming, hosting great international concert artists and designing often exclusive programs and concert cycles. The festival is made up of various events: “Grandi Interpreti”, dedicated to the great classical-romantic repertoire and symphonic-choral masterpieces; “Talenti”, a space open to the new promises of European concert music; “The New the Old” which combines ancient music, always proposed in philological performances, with contemporary and twentieth-century music.

The activity of the Bologna Festival Association is also aimed at younger audiences, which each year involve about 12,000 children: "Baby BoFe '", a classical music review for children and "Notes on the register", a listening training project of classical music.

Highlighted

Born as a cinema in the 1930s, the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni still retains the Art Nouveau exterior of the time. In 2003 it was inaugurated in its current guise as an auditorium following a radical renovation which provided it with excellent acoustics.
