Goldoni Theater Foundation Livorno Presents

"Mascagni Festival 2021"
A great event of the Mascagni Festival is scheduled for September 3 (9.30 pm) on the spectacular Mascagni Terrace. Sara Beatrice Venezi to drive theOrchestra of Tuscany in the symphonic lyric concert "From Mascagni to Morricone".

The concert, with the participation of the soprano Francesca Maionchi, follows the common thread of great interest and not known to all, the relationship between Mascagni and cinema. Pietro Mascagni, open to experimentation and to the new, was the first Italian composer to make the soundtrack of a film, Nino Oxilia's “Satanic Rapsodia”, but his compositions were also often chosen by great film directors. Two examples among all, Raging Bull, Martin Scorsese's masterpiece played by Robert De Niro, and The Godfather, part III, in which events precipitate towards tragedy during an emblematic representation of the rustic Cavalry.
