Gianni Agnelli Auditorium
Together with the Rai Auditorium in Via Rossini, the “Gianni Agnelli” Auditorium, named after the Turin entrepreneur of the same name, is the main structure suitable for hosting classical music concerts in Turin.

It was designed in 1994 by the famous architect Renzo Piano, in the context of the entire redevelopment of the former FIAT factory in Lingotto. Being part of the Lingotto complex, which also hosts the trade fair of the Piedmontese capital, the auditorium is also the usual venue for conferences and congress events.

The internal hall, created by digging about ten meters below the street level, has a capacity of 1,900 spectators distributed among the stalls, side boxes and choir. It is completely covered with elegant cherry wood panels to favor the acoustics, in which the expert Helmut Müller participated. It also has a large pit for the correct accommodation of the members of the orchestra.

The large room, which stands in the old area of the FIAT factory assembly line, was designed by providing for its division into smaller rooms, by activating movable walls.
