Asolo Musica - Friends of Music Association
Asolo Musica - Amici della Musica Association, established in 1976, has been an Association with private legal personality since 1985. The Association organizes and produces musical events throughout the Veneto region, both on its own and in collaboration with local authorities and other associations.


The Association is based in the charming town of Asolo (in the province of Treviso), famous for the fascination it has exercised on poets, writers and artists, including Robert Browning, Eleonora Duse, Gian Francesco Malipiero, Henry James, Hemingway, Montale, Ungaretti and others.

Asolo Musica - Friends of Music Association its statutory and institutional purpose is the promotion and dissemination of musical culture. It organizes concerts, lectures and conferences, seminars and round tables, competitions, master classes, reviews and festivals.

Thanks to contributions from the Veneto Region, from the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, from private entities and citizens, Asolo Musica is active throughout the Veneto with a series of high-level initiatives, which contribute to the enhancement of a territory of considerable cultural, historical and landscape importance.

In over 40 years of activity, Asolo Musica has acquired considerable national and international experience. With its organizational and administrative structure participates in the realization of at least 150 concerts every year, within which a significant space is given to young musicians from the Veneto area, winners of important national and international competitions, and those chamber ensembles that have achieved flattering results at the start of their career.

Among the numerous events organized by the Association, the prestigious festival stands out in particular Asolani meetings, the review Cantantibus Organis is The Squero:

The Asolani meetings, International Chamber Music Festival, for more than 40 years has been bringing famous chamber ensembles and acclaimed interpreters to the small and illustrious city of the Marca Trevigiana who perform in the splendid setting of the Church of San Gottardo. The Asolani meetings hosted some of the major artists on the international scene, including Mstislav Rostropovich, Mario Brunello, Gidon Kremer, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Bruno Giuranna, Rocco Filippini, Michele Campanella, Andrea Lucchesini, Giuliano Carmignola, lan Bostridge, Krystian Zimerman, Yo Yo Ma.

Cantantibus Organis is a large project for the enhancement of the extraordinary heritage of Venice, the provinces of Treviso, Belluno, Vicenza, Rovigo and Venice. Divided into various reviews, the musical itinerary on precious mechanical instruments from the 1700s, 1800s and 1900s is at the same time an artistic itinerary through the churches that guard them. Of particular note is the Treviso Organ Festival which hosts the most important and accredited performers on the international scene.

The season of concerts at the Auditorium The Squero on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore is organized in collaboration with the Giorgio Cini Foundation of Venice. It presents a series of musical events with renowned performers in the suggestive structure directly overlooking the Lagoon.
