Great keyboard virtuoso, Alexander Gadjiev has been appointed Ambassador of Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025,

Alexander Gadjiev, winner of many of the major international piano competitions (very prestigious 2nd prize at the XVIII Chopin Competition in Warsaw) has started a bright career that has already led him to major European halls and piano festivals, to Japan, Australia and the Far East. .

Mitteleuropean music and culture exhibition: Alexander Gadjiev he owes the first to his family, with mother and father both teachers and musicians, and the second to Gorizia - his hometown - a natural crossroads of peoples, cultures, languages. Factors that both had a decisive influence on his natural ability to absorb, elaborate and revisit different musical styles and languages with his own taste. Following the teachings of his father, a well-known Russian teacher, Alexander performs for the first time with orchestra at 9 and gives his first solo recital at 10. He graduates at 17 with full marks, honors and special mention. This allows him to participate in the Venice Prize - a competition reserved for the best Italian graduates - and to win the XXX edition.

Alexander has just won the second prize and the special Krystian Zimerman prize “for the best performance of a Sonata” at the XVIII Chopin Competition in Warsaw.

A few months earlier he won the First Prize and numerous other prizes at the Sydney 2021 International Competition. He is also the winner of the Terence Judd Award 2022 particularly connected to one of the most prestigious British orchestras, the Hallè Orchestra, with which he will perform in various concerts. As "BBC New Generation Artist 2019-2021", a title that only a few young musicians can boast about, he is still busy recording at the most renowned London studios, and performing in prestigious English festivals and theaters (such as his debut at Wigmore Hall) and to collaborate with various BBC orchestras.

Alexander Gadjiev has also won two other major piano competitions: First Prize in 2015 at Hamamatsu, for which he also received the "Audience Award", and First Prize at the 2018 Monte Carlo "World Piano Masters".

Appointed Ambassador of Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025, Alexander in recent years has been invited to perform in Japan and in major piano festivals such as: Verbier Festival, MiTo Festival in Turin, the "Chopin" Festival in Duszniki, the Piano Festival ClaviCologne International in Düsseldorf, the Rafael Orozco Piano Festival in Cordoba, the Ljubljana Festival, Bologna Festival, Musical Weeks of the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Animated Festival in Paris, Kammermusik Salzburg Festival, Teatro La Fenice, Kioi Hall and Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo , Kitara Concert Hall in Sapporo, Hyogo Performing Arts Center in Osaka, the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Moscow Conservatory, and also in Salt Lake City, Istanbul, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Wigmore Hall, Albeburgh Festival and many more .

Among his recent and future engagements, a long tour in Poland, concerts in England, Holland, Italy and a tour in Japan. In addition, the year 2022 will gloriously end with a 90-day tour of Australia and the Far East. In April 2022 his triumphant debut with the Rai Orchestra of Turin directed by Fabio Luisi, a concert that led to a new invitation for next season.
