Alex Esposito, very successful bass - baritone, performs regularly on the major stages of the world, collaborating with the most prestigious directors and directors. In 2007 he received the Abbiati Award of the Italian music critic as best singer, and in 2020 he was nominated 'Kammersänger' of the Bayerische Staatsoper.

Attentive to the training of young singers, Alex Esposito is curator of the Bottega Donizetti, a specialization workshop for young singers of the Donizetti Opera Festival in Bergamo.

The bass-baritone Alex Esposito, born in Bergamo in 1975, he soon established himself as one of the most interesting artists of his generation, collaborating with conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Antonio Pappano, Myung-Whun Chung, Kent Nagano, Daniele Gatti, Fabio Biondi, Riccardo Chailly, Michele Mariotti and directors such as Peter Mussbach, Claus Guth, Graham Vick, Damiano Michieletto, David Alden, Laurent Pelly and Pierluigi Pizzi.
 
He is a guest on the most important stages in the world including the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, La Fenice in Venice, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, the Royal Opera House in London, the Teatro Real of Madrid, the Opéra national of Paris and the festivals of Salzburg, Aix-en-Provence, Rossini Opera of Pesaro.
 
Recent engagements include Dulcamara, Leporello (Don Giovanni), Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro), the Four Villains (Les Contes d'Hoffmann) at the Bavarian State Opera, Méphistophélès (La Damnation de Faust) and Don Basilio (The Barber of Seville) at the Rome Opera, Les Contes d'Hoffmann and Faraone (Moses in Egypt) at the San Carlo in Naples, Méphistophélès (Faust) and the title role in Massenet's Don Quichotte at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Assur ( Semiramide) at the Bavarian State Opera and at the Fenice, Nick Shadow (The Rake's Progress) in Venice, Selim (The Turk in Italy) at La Scala, Filippo II. (Don Carlo) in Venice, Papageno (Die Zauberflöte) in Paris, Henry VIII (Anna Bolena) in Rome and Geneva and Méphistophélès (Faust) at the Fenice in Venice.
 
Alex Esposito was awarded, as Best Singer of 2006, the Franco Abbiati Award 2007 by the Italian music critics; in 2016 he was awarded the “Rossini d'Oro” for his achievements in Pesaro, and in September 2020 he received the title of Kammersänger of the Bayerische Staatsoper.
