They will be The Soloists of Pavia with Enrico Dindo to open on Thursday January 19, the Music season 2023 of the Fraschini Theater of Pavia. The concert opens the Orchestra Soloists review, four dates from 19 January to 13 April 2023 in which the team from Pavia will perform alongside internationally renowned artists.

The Soloists of Pavia, in orchestral formation of about 20 elements, thus return to the "historic" venue of the Fraschini Theater, presenting in each of the four concerts aoutstanding soloist': it starts on Thursday January 19 with Enrico Dindo (cello) and a program dedicated to the 1900s, continues on February 9th with the South Korean star Kim Bomsori (violin); the March 23 with Kai Strobel (percussion), to finish the April 13th with the hornist Felix Klieser, a barely thirty-year-old German musician who plays the horn with the help of his feet, having been born without arms.

The Soloists of Pavia

The chamber orchestra The Soloists of Pavia was founded 22 years ago, thanks to the support of the Banca del Monte di Lombardia Foundation, by Enrico Dindo is Mstislav Rostropovich, that on 9 December 2001 he accepted the Honorary Presidency.

The Soloists have been organizing two chamber music reviews in Pavia for several years, “The Courtyards in Music" And "Bach in the City”, respectively in the month of June and October, which are aimed at spreading musical culture even outside the conventional spaces, at the same time enhancing lesser-known corners of the city, as well as the historic churches of Pavia.

In addition to proposing a repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary, the group has created several crossover projects over the years, such as “Valentina! A cello in comics”, which led to the combination of the comic art of Guido Crepax with the compositions of Jorge Bosso and other initiatives of contamination between the different artistic expressions.

The I Solisti di Pavia Foundation, in addition to planning, organizing and managing the musical production and concert season of the I Solisti di Pavia ensemble, also takes care of the activities of the "Pavia Cello Academy”, the first Cello Academy in Italy, whose Artistic Director is Maestro Enrico Dindo. The Academy is an organization for the promotion and musical training of artists and cello enthusiasts, which promotes, among other things, musical teaching interventions in schools and various training activities for students.
