At the Milan Cathedral the voice of the restored Great Organ resounds
The organ of the Milan Cathedral is the largest pipe instrument in Italy and among the top ten in the world
To the Milan Cathedral from 7 March 2022 visitors will have the extraordinary opportunity to hear the mighty sound of the Omajor rgano, an incredible tool, endowed with beyond 15,800 rods.

The Organ of the Milan Cathedral is the largest pipe instrument in Italy is among the top ten in the world. Since 2019 it has been the subject of an important intervention by restoration still in progress, built by the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo.

Starting Monday 7 March 2022, every Monday and Wednesday from 16.00 to 16.45 and every Friday from 15.00 to 15.45 (with the exception of Friday 8 April, Holy Week and Monday after Easter), it will be possible to listen to its voice: the melodies of the gigantic Organ will thus merge with the architecture, giving life to a real musical accompaniment to the visit , in an atmosphere of profound suggestion.

The Organist Titular of the Duomo will alternate with the keyboards of the Organ, M ° Emanuele Carlo Vianelli and the Second Titular Organist M ° Alessandro La Ciacera. On the occasion of these organ moments, the console will be moved so as to be clearly visible to those who enter the Cathedral.
