National Academy of Santa Cecilia Foundation Presenta

"Concert Season 2022 - 23"
To the Music Park of Rome the 16, 18 and 19 February 2023 an appointment not to be missed is scheduled: for the Season ofNational Academy of Santa Cecilia, will be back on the podium Myung-Whun Chung, former Chief Conductor of the Ceciliana Orchestra from 1997 to 2005, with a program entirely dedicated to Johannes Brahms.

The Korean master, in the suggestively titled evening Do you like Brahms?, will propose the last two symphonies written by the Hamburg composer, the Third, of 1893 and the Fourth, from 1895.

And just at the Symphony n. 3 alludes to the title of the concerto: the unforgettable, lyrical theme of the third movement, A little cheery, forms the main theme song of the film Aimez vous Brahms? (1961) by Anatole Litvak, starring Yves Montand and Ingrid Bergman; the film was based on the best seller of the same name by Francoise Sagan, author of numerous successful books, who rose to prominence with her famous debut novel Bonjour sadness (1954).
