The new season of Asolo Musica at the start Saturday 4th June 2022 (4.30 pm) to the A.auditorium Lo Squero of the Cini Foundation onIsland of San Giorgio: Sara Mario Brunello to open the review with the first of three events dedicated to the Integral of Sonatas and Partitas for violin just of Johann Sebastian Bach, performed at small cello and enriched by biblical meditations of the monk Lino Breda. The concert, entitled "Adam, where are you?"Provides for the execution of the Sonata No. 1 in G minor BWV 1001 and of Match no. 1 in B minor for violin BWV 1002. The series opens with one of the most intense Adagi ever written by Bach, the debut of one of the major collections for violin, whose complexity of writing still makes it a testing ground for every virtuoso. It is the unusual cut and the particular instrument of choice, the small cello and interpretation linked to biblical stories - in addition to the undisputed virtuosity and interpretative depth - that make Brunello's Bach path an unmissable appointment. In the project of the Venetian musician, Johann Sebastian Bach's Sonatas and Partitas are in fact seen in the context of a sort of «biblical storyWhich reveals possible deep links of these extraordinary music with Sacred Scripture, an expanded interpretation of the meditations on the Bible proposed by the monk Lino Breda, which will be inserted between the musical moments. For the occasion, Mario Brunello will play the now famous small cello, a particular instrument, loved by Bach as by other musicians, but which had no luck and was forgotten in the course of history. «The small four-stringed cello» explains Brunello «is part of the myriad of instruments that composers had at their disposal, before the standardization of the quartet normalized the sizes of violin, viola and cello». Thus was born the idea of Mario Brunello to rediscover the sounds to perform the Sonatas and Partitas. In 2019 he created an engraving that immediately met with extraordinary success. Thanks to the reinterpretation of Brunello and the very particular voice of the instrument, an exact copy of an Amati from the early seventeenth century, whose sound recalls the penetrating timbre of the countertenor. The complete cycle Johann Sebastian Bach, Sonatas and Partitas: a biblical story, after "Adam, where are you?" will continue in the autumn part of the season with two more concerts, "Passio“ scheduled for November 12 provides for the execution of the Sonata No. 2 in A minor for violin BWV 1003 and of Match no. 2 in D minor for violin BWV 1004, while in the final appointment of December 17, “The world to come”, We will listen to the last two compositions, the Sonata No. 3 in D major for violin BWV 1005 and the Match no. 3 in E major for violin BWV 1006. * (Above.
