In Macerata, Jesi and Fabriano the Symphonic Season of the FORM - Marchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra
The 2023 symphonic season of the FORM-Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana is starting, scheduled from January to May 2023 in the theaters of Macerata, Jesi and Fabriano.

After Concert for the New Year which welcomed 2023 with great success in the various theaters of the region, the FORMMarchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra, “the soundtrack of the Marche” launches the Symphony Season 2023: a large review that will take place in three stages, a Macerata (Lauro Rossi Theater, January 24 – May 9), Jesi (Pergolesi Theater, 20.01 – 6.05.) and Fabriano (Gentle Theater 21.01. – 05.05). The program is valuable and varied, ranging from Classicism to the twentieth century to contemporary authors, and sees the participation of great international performers and young talents of extraordinary skill.

Seven concerts scheduled in Jesi (carried out in collaboration with the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation and with the Municipal Administration), six in Fabriano (in collaboration with the Municipality), five in Macerata (in collaboration with the Marche Spettacolo Consortium and the City of Macerata ), to which is added, in each of the three locations, a non-subscription family concert.

For the opening concert, titled Old world, new world, will get on the podium of the FORM Gerard Korsten, internationally renowned musician, guest of prestigious institutions and theaters all over the world, with the Sinfonia “From the New World” of Dvořák preceded by splendid compositions for cello and orchestra of Tchaikovsky interpreted by Ettore Pagano, an exceptionally talented young cellist who has already made himself appreciated throughout Italy, especially after his victory at the Katchaturian 2022 Competition. 20 th January to Jesi, the 21 to Fabriano, the 24 in Macerata.

To follow, the Family Concert (non-subscription) designed for children and families, focused on Peter and the Wolf of Prokofiev and directed by Aram Khacheh.  – Jesi February 4th, Macerata February 5th, Fabriano February 25.

It will then be the turn of Giuseppe Albanese, one of the most sought-after pianists of his generation, who will propose My Mozart: two splendid Piano Concertos, No. 18 and the no. 21, interspersed with Fantasy in C minor; the concertation is entrusted to the first violin of the Orchestra, Alessandro Cervo. The February 15th to Jesi, the 16 to Macerata, the 17 to Fabriano.

It is dedicated to Richard Strauss is Beethoven the next concert: the Marchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Manlio Benzi with which FORM has been collaborating for many years, interprets the Strauss Metamorphosis and the Symphony no. 3 "Heroic" of Beethoven. The 3rd March to Jesi, the March 5th to Fabriano, the March 7th to Macerata.

Continue with Beethoven, With the'Eighth Symphony preceded by First Concerto for cello and orchestra of Shostakovich. Soloist and conductor is Luigi Piovano, principal cellist of the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and guest soloist of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. The March 19 to Fabriano and the March 21st to Jesi.

The next concert, Italian sound, sees the young director Diego Ceretta on the FORM podium, flanked by the guitarist Eugene della Chiara, for a journey starting from Night of Martucci and, through the Concert for guitar and orchestra of Castelnuovo-Tedesco, arrives at Pulcinella of Stravinsky. The 31 March to Jesi and the April 2 to Fabriano.

The young Georgian-Turkish violinist, Veriko Tchumburidze, winner of the prestigious Wieniawski Competition at the age of 20, is the protagonist of Brahms-Beethoven, by running the Concerto for violin and orchestra by the Hamburg composer; to complete the program Symphony n. 2 of Beethoven, with the direction of Giuseppe Montesano. On April 14 at Macerata and the April 15 to Jesi.

The Closing concert of the season is instead entirely dedicated to musical, with the direction of Romolo Gessi, principal guest conductor of the Filarmonia Veneta regional orchestra and musical director of the chamber orchestra of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Songs by Gershwin, Bernstein, Porter, Lloyd-Webber, Kern and others, on May 5 a Fabriano, the May 6th to Jesi, and the May 9th to Macerata.

Therefore a circular journey that starts from the new world to return to the American continent with the closing concert after a fascinating tour of the various and diversified cultural areas of the old continent.
