The competition dedicated to the violinist, teacher, teacher, composer and conductor takes place from 3 to 12 September in Gorizia Rodolfo Lipizer (Gorizia, January 16, 1895 - June 8, 1974).

The Lipizer Prize boasts the adhesion of the President of the Republic and the High Patronage of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in addition to the patronage of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Heritage and Activities.

The Jury of the 40th edition is composed of the President Virginio Pio Zoccatelli, (Italy), and Emmanuele Baldini (Italy), Susan May Collins (Tasmania - Australia), Alejandro Drago (Argentina), Yibin Li, (China), Igor Petrushevski (Serbia), Tereze Ziberte - Ijaba (Latvia).

The competition is open to violinists of any national team born after 12 September 1988.

Numerous special prizes will also be awarded in the preliminary, semifinal and final rounds.

The winner of the First Prize will be hired for concerts in Gorizia, Feltre, Asolo, Crotone, Yerevan (Armenia) and for a tour in numerous national venues.
